How to word a Gujarati wedding invitation (Kankotri)
The Gujarati wedding card is the kankotri, and it traditionally opens with a Ganesh invocation and closes with a tahuko — a short poetic couplet. The celebration is warm and marigold-bright: a garba or sangeet the night before, the mandap ceremony with the four pheras, and a reception. What to include
- Both names and both families, with the Ganesh invocation if your family opens the card that way.
